AHWG’s Trauma and Resilience Training
AHWG’s Training Details….
The Adolescent Health Working Group is providing a Trauma and Resiliency Training on Friday, March 6th, 2015 from 1-5pm at the Marina Library (188 Seaside Avenue) in Marina, CA.
AHWG’s Trauma and Resilience Training modules are based on evidence based best practices and tools and resources from AHWG’s “Provider Tool-Kit Series: Trauma and Resilience.” The training will inform and educate participants on basic knowledge, vocabulary, and concepts in Trauma Informed Care (TIC) for youth and young adults.
Training will build skills and knowledge in what areas?
The training will build S&K’s in Basic Concepts of Trauma Informed Care, Adverse Childhood Experiences and Their Impact, Resilience Building Blocks, Positive Youth Development, Trauma Informed Care Practice, Using Trauma Informed Tools, Secondary and Vicarious Trauma, Self Care, Applying TIC Concepts into Practice, and Addressing Challenges in Implementation of TIC.
Limited spots available, $20 cost for materials. Registration and payment must be received before March 4th, 2015.
