What is the Youth Leadership Institute?
The Youth Leadership Institute is an organization that works to create communities that are more equitable and sustainable.
YLI provides training and consulting services based on 20 years of leadership development research, implementation, and evaluation.
YLI has worked with over 80,000 young people ages 12-15 in over 200 communities nationally and internationally. One unique characteristic of this organization is that YLI consistently works with low-income families and people of color.
Through their 20 years of youth leadership development, “We consistently see young people’s deep motivation to challenge and improve the society in which they live. YLI fosters this passion, providing ways for youth to channel it into effective community change.”
