15 GIRL LEADERS, 10 MONTHS, 6 PROGRAMS, ONE GOAL.

The GHGH youth council, the Girls’ Leadership Network (GLN), is made up of 15 high school girls from across the county. These young women are selected by their agency to represent their program in GHGH collaborative advocacy efforts.

Each year, the GLN work to make a difference in the community by advocating for the socio-emotional health of youth in the Monterey County.

This year’s (2015-2016) advocacy focused on¬†encouraging school districts to address the socio-emotional health needs of its students by providing better access to more clinical counselors such as; school based therapists, social workers and psychiatrists.

Here is a recap of the year:2
