A Youth-Led Petition to Support Prioritizing Social & Emotional Health For All Youth in Monterey County 2015
Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands is a girl-led movement for health empowerment in Monterey County.
In the Fall of this year, girls 11-18 from GHGH programs across the county let us know that the most important health issue for them was Social and Emotional Health.
We want all youth in Monterey County to have positive social and emotional health. We define social and emotional health as positive self-esteem, coping skills, and access to resources to be able to cope with life’s difficulties.
We have asked the Board of Supervisors to prioritize this topic for youth across the county. Show your support by signing our petition below:
Thank you for signing our petition! Want to support GHGH some more?
Youth leaders will be presenting in front of the Board of Supervisors on March 17th at 10:30am at the Monterey County Government Center, 168 E. Alisal Street, Salinas.
We would love for you to be there!
